Finishing

• Always stitch three (3) extra rows around the stitched picture so that the seam on the bag will not detract from the picture on the bag.   Carry out the color at the edge of the bag for the extra rows unless it is metallic. If you choose not to add the three rows, your bag will be at least 1/4 inch smaller on all four sides.
• Do not use metallic fibers for the border because it will easily fray.  Add 4-5 rows of perle or wool, whatever you are using, so that a more durable fiber will be the edge of the bag.
• If you provide your own fabric, 1/2 yard of cotton velveteen for the back and 1/2 yard of heavy satin for the lining is required.  We do not provide monogramming services, but there are stores that do provide this service if you are interested.
